Kandeli Antalis is the world's leading art paper brand with a history extending back 250 years. Deeply rooted in the Chinese market for 20 years, we always insist on interpreting art and printing using high quality products. With the development of electronic technology, paper as a traditional medium is facing new challenges. In the context of Internet communication in China, this centuries-old paper industry group hopes to encourage consumers to recognize the persistence of the brand and win trust through communication.
INSIGHT

In the age of high-tech development, time slips away quickly and quietly. Time is invisible and untouchable. Papermaking is the precipitation of time and paper records the traces of time. In a designer’s daily, paper is the carrier of inspiration and experience. Therefore, SenseTeam decided to use paper to awaken people's attention to time and present the charm of paper with an art exhibition. Time is seen through fonts, value is seen through paper.

In Fragments of Time, paper takes on a new role. Fragments are transformed into time units, and become desk calendars that carry time, calendar posters that record time tracks, and bookmarks "Sleep Time". A fragment that is both a pattern and a product. The different touch of the paper and the interpretation of printing arts such as three-dimensional ironing and cutting lines make the picture more three-dimensional and rich, and fully and systematically demonstrate the charm of Antalis. Bring paper art into the public eye through a touring exhibition of installation art held in bookstores.
STRATEGY

We try to start from the identity of the designer, retreat from the representation of time, and think about the meaning of time with the font as the starting point. The design of the font shapes the personality of the information, reflects the fragmented daily life of the designers, and records the time they have been experiencing.

In product design, the "Fragments of Time" font is applied to desk calendars, posters, bookmarks, folding pages, and postcards. 12 sets of font works, 365 days without repetition, constitute the unique design password of the desk calendar and increase the reading interest. The design inspiration of the poster comes from the association of leaves and time. SenseTeam presents the unknown days on a blank sheet of paper. A piece of paper is a year, through which 365 days can be seen. The function of bookmarks has been further excavated, with innovations in materials and shapes. Each fragment is a day, and the superposition of fragments is the fusion of time. Fragmented information is integrated into a folded page, which conveys the texture of information and time. The "Fragments of Time" commemorative postcard, also innovated in form and function.

Continuing the temporality of paper, SenseTeam planned a traveling exhibition of installation art, which was exhibited in bookstore spaces in Chongqing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, bringing the design aesthetics of time into the public eye. The exhibition takes visible fragments as the time unit, fits the bookstore space, sets different themes, and presents three different physical states with fragments to interpret the beauty of time, space and nature: Rain, River and Ripples.
VISUAL SYSTEM

TYPEFACES

We sorted out the previous projects of SenseTeam over the past 20 years, and have selected 12 sets of font works, scattered, reorganized and mixed to create the "Fragments of Time" font. Time is reinterpreted from the past to the present. From digital clocks to fonts, we've changed the way we know time. This shift seems to coincide with the cyclical nature of time.
PRODUCT DESIGN

CALENDAR

The different textures, colors and craftsmanship of paper correspond to the changes of time. Tear off a piece a day and use it for collection. The interactive design with the user makes the reading time not limited to the plane vision.
DERIVATIVES

Fragments can be used not only for memorization, but also for "tear". Tear up from the bottom up, the days are like fallen leaves, floating into the "memories collection tube" that we came with. Posters show the charm of paper through colors, fonts, and craftsmanship, and increase consumers' goodwill towards products. When reading paper books, bookmarks serve as reminders, helping us recall the time when we were last reading. The fragments removed from the desk calendar are put into a vacuum transparent airtight bag, implying the time of storage. 12 transparent bookmarks, 12 poems, 12 moods, resonate with people.。
EXHIBITION

In the exhibition, time is sealed in different physical spaces, visualizing time in different dimensions and states: desk calendar, font, poster, fold, postcard, bookmark, seal, documentary. The exhibition drives sales of desk calendars, posters, and bookmarks. We hope to explore the relationship between people and time, objects and time, space and time through this live work. When time stops, the air is quiet. People slow down, stop, face time, perceive, experience, appreciate, reminisce, then turn around and move on.
RESULT

The project has been actively praised and reported by more than 50 media, accumulating 1 million followers, and the message area is full of people's feelings about time and praise for products. The art exhibition promoted the sales of desk calendars and led to the exposure of Antalis paper. The use of desk calendars, photographs of fragmentary records, spontaneously produced secondary transmissions. Successfully opened a good dialogue between the brand and consumers, effectively enhancing brand awareness and favorability. Also let us understand together, what is the meaning of time, how to appreciate the beauty of time.
